After meeting the mayor and town council I traveled to the Seibu Dome because I couldn't visit Japan without seeing a baseball game. The Seibu Lions crowd showed their love for the team Japanese style with drums, trumpets, and synchronized chants with towel waving for players and the experience felt more like college football than baseball but it did jazz up the experience a bit (it blows away cowbell man at the Mets games).
The Lions have been pretty competitive even after trading Dice-K to the Bo Sox but not even Shortstop Hiroyuki Nakajima, the hometown favorite could hold off the Orix Buffaloes. Most importantly I had a chance to befriend a cute Kirin beer girl and enjoy a Japanese chili dog with friends.
